The Peterborough Kawartha Rotary Club would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to Ribfest over the years. Whether you volunteered your time, sponsored a booth, offered your services as a vendor, or attended and enjoyed the festivities, your support has been invaluable. Ribfest has been a highlight of our community calendar for 19 years, and we will cherish the memories created together.
After much consideration and analysis, we have decided that the Peterborough Kawartha Rotary Club will not be running Ribfest in 2025.
Despite our best efforts and the unwavering support of our volunteers, vendors, and attendees, we found ourselves facing financial challenges. Over the past few years, the costs associated with organizing Ribfest have steadily increased, while our revenue has not kept pace. As a result, we are no longer able to sustain the event without incurring significant losses.
This decision was not made lightly. We understand how much Ribfest means to our community – the mouthwatering barbecue, the live music, and the camaraderie.
